Clear away all dirty laundry into the laundry basket.
Clean clothes are refolded or re-hung.
Put all rubbish in the bin.
Box up all loose items with no-fixed-abode.
Straighten surfaces.
Sweep and mop or vacuum.
Place the boxed items in their proper places in the house where possible.
Dust down the ceiling and corners.
Spot-clean walls, air vents, doorknobs, and light switches.
Dust and clean the frames and glass of all wall art and photos.
Take down curtains to wash or have cleaned according to the directions where appropriate and if there is time.
Dust any blinds and wash window sills.
Wash the inside and outsides of windows leaving them open unless it is raining.
Wash all bedding, sheets, pillows, and cushion covers etc.
Vacuum and flip mattress over to provide even wear.
Move and clean under bed.
Put clean bed linen on bed.
Dust and clean out the couches and chairs, removing all cushions and cleaning individually.
Dust down and clean all lamps and lampshades and VERY CAREFULLY clean all ornaments and objets d’art using the appropriate techniques.
Remove books from bookshelves, dusting down the books while you go, and the shelves when empty.
Dust dressers, chests-of-drawers, bedside tables and electronics including the television and screen.
Clean any mirrors.
Dust and mop hard floors – vacuum (and clean) carpet and rugs (where needed and on the request of client.)
