Pure Sparkle Ltd was formed to address some of the problems the founding members saw in the London cleaning sector. Our team came together bringing experience of different cleaning systems and cleaning disciplines from different cleaning companies across London. Drawn together by the common belief that the way the sector in which operated needed to change.
The main areas for improvement emerged as:
In discussions in the first days of the company, the belief surfaced amongst our team of industry insiders that the cleaning sector as we knew it generally provided an inconsistent or poor quality of service. Areas needing improvement were:
The essential backbone of any business in the services industry and as such we ensure that all staff undergo training in the following areas wherever required:
• Language training (to at least the levels required for citizenship),
• Customer Service Training to Level 2 NVQ
• Various cleaning qualifications up to NVQ level.
Paramount in the constant quest for greater performance, efficiency and economy. We source (and supply) equipment based on the requirements of each job to maximise efficiency and train all staff use the equipment where necessary.
Key to good service. This is achieved through effective systems, training, regular quality assessments, operational guidelines to govern every procedure and therefore process accountability at each level of the organisation.
Your cleaning company must obey the schedule of your cleaning needs rather than having to fit your cleaning needs around your cleaning company’s scheduled operating hours.
Pure Sparkle has a 24 hour callout/emergency line for staff and customers for any unforeseen cleaning needs.
Perhaps the biggest ‘hate’ of individuals or enterprises sourcing cleaning services in our early surveys was clarity of price. ‘How much will it cost?’ was, for most people a question that was very difficult to get answered. Our solution was to streamline our business so we could be proud of the prices we charge for services and enabled us to create our unique real-time price calculator so you can know exactly what the service you require will cost you. No smoke and mirrors, just quality service at a simple low cost. After all, why hide a good thing?
We have all experienced a service industry company that advertises the best service but serves its customers poorly. In fact, some of us here have worked for these companies.
Pure Sparkle Ltd aims to avoid this in all that it does by publishing policy for all cleaning types. Here is a brief breakdown of how we operate: All cleaning requirements are exhaustively documented and each staff member is carefully assigned tasks individually or in groups for which they are wholly responsible. Continuous training, assessment and monitoring opens every link in the chain to scrutiny. All Cleaning is therefore guaranteed to an agreed standard and each service order or contract is signed by both Pure Sparkle Ltd and the Client, stating exactly what is to be achieved for each clean. If the standard of cleaning does not live up to that which is detailed in the paperwork, the company will return and clean for free until such standards are met. For more information, please read The Pure Sparkle Guarantee.
It is understandable that the cleaning sector, built on petrochemicals and machinery, has been a little slow on the uptake of the green revolution. Inaction is no longer a viable choice. Simple things can be done to improve, for example:
1. Our vehicles are now all the greenest in their class (to the point of being awarded congestion charge exemption).
2. The products section here at puresparkle.co.uk suggests a green alternative for ALL of the chemicals we supply as well as rating their comparative cleaning performance.
3. Our staff are all trained to assess each task in reference to the best practicable environmental option, from transport choices (where all of our staff have opted to use either public transport, bicycles or electric scooters to get to work) to when to use (and when not to use) chemicals and machinery on jobs.
While we are still and SME we do ensure that our staff mirrors the diversity of London. We employ staff from Africa, Asia, Europe and
South America, and employ on skills, experience and attitude alone. Company policy ensures that employees continually undergo training in all areas of cleaning and customer service as well as a variety of secondary skills applicable to each individual. Our aim is continued development for all staff to ensure the skills, motivation and application remain constant to maintain our exemplary standards.
Pure Sparkle regularly offers further free of charge support to our more vulnerable clients when needed.
